Hire the federal talent your missions actually need.
Tell us the position, the clearance, the contract context. We come back with a slate that respects all three. Most engagements move from kickoff to first hire in 30 to 60 days.
Federal Group Talent Partners works with federal employers, prime contractors, federal subcontractors, federal agencies hiring directly, and 8(a)/SDVOSB/WOSB/HUBZone firms competing for set-aside work. We support the full federal contract talent lifecycle from pre-award proposal staffing through post-award delivery hiring, surge staffing, and executive search.
Employer engagement intake
Tell us about the role and the contract context. A senior recruiter responds within one business day. NDA available before any sensitive details are exchanged.
How we work with employers
Methodology over hustle
We publish how we work. No black-box process. You see the playbook before you sign.
Clearance verified
Every cleared candidate has clearance verified through approved channels before submission.
Engagement letter, not handshake
Fees, deliverables, guarantees, replacement terms, all in writing before work starts.
Senior recruiter on every brief
A senior recruiter takes the first call. The intern doesn't run your federal hire.
Two ways to start.
If you have a position to fill, tell us about the role. If you have federal experience, tell us about your background. Same firm, two intake paths.
Frequently asked questions
How are fees structured?
Contingent placement fees on standard recruiting engagements. Retained fees on executive search and pre-award proposal staffing. Hourly or per-billet fees on surge engagements over a certain headcount threshold. We disclose the fee structure on the engagement letter, not after.
How are your recruiting engagements priced and structured?
We structure the engagement to fit the work. Contingent contract recruiting is paid when a candidate we submit is hired, retained executive search is a dedicated engagement for senior roles, and surge staffing supports a post award ramp. We discuss fees openly in a scope conversation before any engagement begins, and we do not require exclusivity on contingent work.
What is the difference between contingent and retained search?
Contingent means we are paid on placement, which suits funded, awarded roles you need filled quickly. Retained means an exclusive, dedicated engagement for senior or hard to fill leadership roles, with focused and confidential effort from start to finish.
How fast will we see a first slate?
For most funded roles where the clearance and skill profile is already in our network, within 48 hours. Niche clearances such as TS/SCI with a full scope polygraph, specialized languages, or specific agency familiarity take 5 to 10 business days.
How do you verify a candidate's clearance before submitting?
We verify every clearance claim through approved channels before a candidate is submitted, and we never rely on a candidate's word alone. If a clearance cannot be substantiated through proper channels, the candidate is not submitted as cleared.
How do you handle key personnel substitution?
We plan for it in advance. For proposal and delivery roles we identify backup candidates for the positions that carry the most contract risk, so a departure becomes a substitution rather than a compliance problem. Managing that exposure is a core part of how we staff federal contracts.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. We sign NDAs before any sensitive engagement and we adhere to them. For pre-award proposal work and executive search, NDAs are standard.
How are guarantees structured?
Standard direct-hire placements: 90-day no-cost replacement if the candidate separates within 90 days for any reason within our control. Executive search: 90-day no-cost replacement on retained engagements. Surge engagements: per-billet replacement schedule defined in the engagement letter.
